Unusually narrow beds and increased yields: growing tomatoes according to the Mittlider

 Unusually narrow beds and increased yields: growing tomatoes according to the Mittlider

Household plots where tomatoes are not grown are practically not found in Russia. In pursuit of a bountiful harvest, gardeners try a variety of ways to cultivate them. The Mittlider technique, like all other options, has its own nuances and requires adherence to the author's recommendations. At the same time, the method is quite simple, even novice gardeners can implement it.

General description of the Mittlider method, its advantages and disadvantages

Jacob Mittlider is a world renowned agronomist and breeder. Moreover, he did not limit himself only to theoretical developments, traveling a lot around the world and adapting the techniques he created to different climatic and weather conditions. Mittlider also visited Russia, having managed in 7 years to organize a training center for everyone who wants to master its technology.

Jacob Mittlider - the creator of the concept of vegetable growing in narrow beds; the effectiveness of his method has been proven by the practical work of the author in various countries

The main goal of the author is to get a more plentiful and early harvest while saving space on the personal plot. With strict adherence to the recommendations, a result of about 9 kg per bush can be achieved.

High yield when growing tomatoes according to the Mittlider method is achieved by loading doses of nutrients in combination with proper preparation of the garden

Features of the technique:

  • Growing tomatoes on narrow symmetrical beds with wide row spacing and a perfectly flat surface or in "mobile" bed-boxes with a bottom. The configuration provides uniform illumination of all plants, allows "targeted" delivery of water and nutrients to the roots, without creating a deficiency in one place and an excess in another. Boxes are used where, due to the difficult terrain, it will not work to form ordinary beds.
  • Use for feeding complex mineral fertilizers with a balanced composition and low nitrate content. This in the early stages of development stimulates the active build-up of green mass, and then accelerates the ripening of the fruit. Competent feeding has a positive effect on the taste of vegetables and on the volume of the crop.

Mittlider's vegetable growing method is universal - it is suitable not only for tomatoes, but also for other garden crops

Advantages of the Mittlider technique:

  • due to the low content of nitrates, the taste of the fruit improves, the tomatoes are environmentally friendly;
  • tomatoes take root and bear fruit in areas where groundwater comes close to the surface, which, in fact, they do not tolerate (the roots of plants grown according to the Mittlider are located in the surface layer of the soil);
  • plants located in one or two rows receive more light and nutrients, which makes them resistant to the vagaries of the weather and better immunity;
  • there are almost no weeds in the aisles (the beds are stationary, they are not transferred from place to place every year, the soil is well trampled);
  • space on the garden plot is significantly saved (more narrow beds can be formed on the same area than classic beds);
  • less effort is spent on caring for the plantings (loosening is excluded, weeding takes a minimum of time, automated drip irrigation is recommended, fertilizers are applied not under each bush, but in the center of the garden);
  • with a sudden drop in temperature, narrow beds are much easier to close than wide ones;
  • water is supplied only to the roots, its overrun is excluded.

With strict adherence to the recommendations, Jacob Mittlider promises to increase the yield of tomatoes with less time-consuming planting maintenance.

Of course, this method has its drawbacks:

  • The method is not universal. It is not suitable for very light or heavy substrates, steep slopes, if planted in open ground. Water goes into the sand very quickly, it is impossible to constantly keep it in a slightly moist state. In heavy soil, on the contrary, it stagnates, the roots begin to rot. A bed on a slope cannot be watered evenly - water flows down, there is an excess of it, and a deficit at the top. To cope with these shortcomings, you will have to build box beds, which means a lot of time and effort.
  • High-quality complex fertilizers are not cheap and are required in large doses. It is difficult for a novice gardener to compose them on their own due to their multicomponent;
  • The construction of Mittlider beds is a rather laborious process.
  • With a lack of light on the site, the yield on narrow beds will be lower in comparison with the classic method of growing tomatoes.

When it comes to choosing a tomato variety, the Mittlider method is universal. It is suitable for both determinate and indeterminate tomatoes, varieties and hybrids. But it is still advisable to choose plants recognized by the State Register as suitable for cultivation throughout Russia, or zoned for specific regions, taking into account the characteristics of the local climate.

The Mittlider growing technique is applicable to any tomato varieties and hybrids.

Mittlider beds and tomato planting

The classic Mittlider bed has a width of 40–45 cm and a length of 9 m with a row spacing of 70–105 cm. But Russian gardeners treat such “structures” with distrust, therefore they often increase the width of the garden to 65 cm, planting tomatoes in two rows at the edges ... The length is not critical, therefore it depends on the size of the site - it can vary within 2-10 m.

Mittlider beds look much more aesthetically pleasing than usual, this is another of their advantages

The ridges must be placed horizontally, even a slight slope is not allowed. In order not to let water drain, they are fenced with earthen bumpers, "frames" are made of wood, slate, and roofing iron. The structure should not have gaps, especially in the corners.

The garden bed is prepared according to the following algorithm:

  1. Cut off the sod from the area chosen for the garden bed, dig up the soil, applying fertilizers (mixture No. 1 and mixture No. 2). The recipes are listed below. It is important to strictly follow the recommendations of the author of the technique.

    When preparing the beds along the Mittlider, both the future beds themselves and the aisles are dug; the latter then trample well

  2. Use pegs and a cord to outline the contours of the beds.

    Preliminary marking of the beds allows you to strictly adhere to the sizes recommended by the author

  3. Form earthen bumpers about 10 cm high or install fences. Carefully level the soil surface between them.

    A perfectly flat surface is very important, level the beds carefully

In regions with a harsh climate, cutting off the sod, they also remove a layer of soil 15–20 cm thick. The bottom of the resulting ditch is covered with plastic wrap. A drainage layer (5–7 cm) is laid on top, on it is fresh manure (10–15 cm) and about the same amount of soil. By overheating, manure helps the soil to warm up faster in spring.

If a box is being built, its length with a width of 40–45 cm can be any, the height is not less than 30–35 cm. Such structures are most often installed in areas with difficult terrain. To create a level horizontal, props are used. More creative gardeners manage to save space on the site well by placing them on the roof of a shed, garage, and other structures. Tomatoes are grown in small boxes on balconies and verandas.

The main idea when constructing narrow beds is to provide plants with maximum heat and sunlight.

From the inside, the box is lined with dense agrofibre, best of all black, a layer of drainage with a thickness of at least 10 cm is poured over it - pieces of foam, crushed stone, pebbles, ceramic shards, pieces of bark. For boxes, a soil mixture is prepared without adding organic matter:

  • rotted sawdust, perlite, coarse sand (2: 2: 1);
  • peat chips, vermiculite, sand (2: 2: 1);
  • crushed pine bark, perlite, dry sphagnum moss, sand (4: 3: 2: 1).

Such a substrate does not differ in fertility, but the risk of developing diseases is significantly reduced in it. Top dressing is vital for tomatoes. Fertilizers are applied in the same proportion as for beds in open ground, but instead of mixture No. 2, mixture No. 2A is used.

The Mittlider beds do not need annual deep digging, plant roots are formed in the surface layer of the substrate. It is enough to loosen the soil in autumn and spring with a hoe or flat cutter. Weeding of weeds in the trampled aisles is excluded - if they appear, the aboveground part is cut off and used as raw material for compost, the roots are left in the soil, preserving the natural environment for beneficial microorganisms.

Not the last advantage of the Mittlider beds is the wide passages between them, making it easier to care for plants and harvest.

Video: do-it-yourself Mittlider garden

Tomatoes are planted in one row or staggered. The interval between them depends on the description of the bush - undersized compact varieties and hybrids are planted after 30 cm, high spreading ones - after 45-50 cm. Planting is oriented from north to south, so the plants will receive the most light during the day.

Mittlider tomatoes are planted more heap than usual - more bushes can be placed on a garden of the same area than with the classic planting scheme, the total yield increases from an equal area

Tomatoes can be planted not only with seedlings, but also with seeds. They are sown one at a time at a distance of 7-10 cm from the sides of the box. The interval between them is 5–7 cm, the planting depth is 1–1.5 cm. The middle of the bed remains free. In the phase 2-3 of this leaf, it will be necessary to thin out the plantings, increasing the intervals between the bushes to the recommended.

Fertilizer recipes according to Mittlider

Fertilizer mixtures according to Mittlider take into account the needs of crops in macro- and microelements, provide them with everything necessary in the right proportion, without adding anything superfluous. Correct feeding means the harmonious development of plants, their resistance to diseases and vagaries of the weather, and the best yield.

The main fertilizer for the formed beds is a mixture of dolomite flour (5 kg) and boric acid (40 g). This is the so-called mixture No. 1. In alkaline soils, dolomite flour is replaced with gypsum. The volume is designed for a bed of 45 cm by 9 m. Top dressing in the spring is applied to the soil in the center of the bed 12-15 days before planting the seedlings, at the same time the soil is loosened with a hoe or flat cutter.

Dolomite flour is a natural soil deoxidizer, when the dosage is observed, it does not have any side effects

At the same time add 225–250 g (per garden of the same size) mixture No. 2. Its composition:

  • ammophos - 600 g;
  • urea - 1 kg;
  • potassium sulfate - 1 kg;
  • magnesium sulfate - 450 g;
  • boric acid - 10-15 g;
  • molybdenum (any salt) - 10-15 g;
  • slaked lime or dolomite flour - 450 g.

Ready-made fertilizers for tomatoes grown according to the Mittlider method are rarely on sale, so it is better to prepare the mixture yourself

To obtain mixture No. 2A, add to the basic version (mixture No. 2):

  • 5 g of potassium sulfate;
  • 1.5 g of ammonium nitrate;
  • 2.5 g magnesium sulfate;
  • 5 g of simple superphosphate.

Fertilizer No. 2A is used for feeding tomatoes in box beds, since the artificial substrate does not differ in fertility. If they are grown outdoors, standard mix # 2 will do. The plants begin to feed when the tomato seedlings take root in the garden and form new leaves. Further - with an interval of 7-10 days. The dry mixture is spread evenly over the center of the garden bed, and the last planting is fertilized about 20 days before the expected fruiting. It is important that the nutrient mixture does not get on the plants themselves, it will "burn" the leaves. If this does happen, wash it off with water.

Mixture No. 2A in the form of a solution (10-15 g per liter of water) can also be used for feeding tomato seedlings, when the plants form 3-4 true leaves

Other nuances of caring for tomatoes

Water for watering tomatoes should not contain calcium salts, but it is very useful if it is saturated with iron. Each time, you can add a little iron sulfate (2-3 g per 10 l) or settle it in rusty barrels, throw a few rusty nails on the bottom of the container. Water the plantings daily or every other day, the soil should not be allowed to dry out. Water is poured in the center of the beds to "dissolve" the fertilizer. If you practice sprinkling the entire area of the garden, it quickly overgrows with weeds.

Tying and shaping of Mittlider tomatoes is carried out as usual. Tall hybrids form one or two stems, dwarf - 3-4. It is necessary to regularly pinch and cut off leaves that clearly obstruct the access of light to the fruits, located too low, touching the ground. Upon reaching a height of 1.5-1.8 m, pinch the top of the bush, stopping its growth. This greatly facilitates the care of tomato plantings.

Tomato stepchildren must be removed regularly - they take away from the plant the strength necessary for the ripening of fruits

The bushes are tied to the support when they reach a height of 30–40 cm, depending on their size, the procedure is repeated 3-4 times per season. It is advisable to slightly tilt even plants in a row to one side, and odd ones to the other when tying, this will provide better lighting.

Tomatoes grown in narrow beds are very convenient to tie to trellises

Video: Jacob Mittlider's technique for growing tomatoes

Gardeners reviews about the technique

The methods of growing horticultural crops, which, at first glance, seem strange, are developed by professionals in their field and have a well-founded theoretical basis. Growing tomatoes according to the Mittlider has proven its effectiveness over many years of practice. The main features of his system are the arrangement of narrow beds and the introduction of balanced mineral dressings.

Growing tomatoes according to the Maslov method

What gardener does not dream that there was a high yield of tomatoes on his land. Hence, many tributaries ask a completely logical question: how to properly plant seedlings so that the result is howling high. To increase the yield, it is necessary to apply a number of agrotechnical measures. Here, top dressing, watering is important, as well as the use of a new technique for growing tomatoes, compiled by I.M. Maslov.

This technique can be used by absolutely everyone, because no complex manipulations have to be carried out. At times it may seem that this method is similar to other methods of growing tomatoes.

A site about a garden, a summer residence and houseplants.

I want to contribute to the treasury of summer cottage experience, maybe someone will agree with me. Each gardener uses his own planting method: someone breaks up wide beds (up to 1 m), someone falls in love with narrow ones (45 cm or so). The latter, as I began to notice, are now more and more (and their harvests are more and more generous). I am one of such amateurs. For about 30 years I have been practicing J. Mittleider's method for growing tomatoes and tomatoes and I have never regretted it. After all, it is not only beautiful (photo 1), but also convenient. And most importantly - the best option for plants.

Let me explain: with a two-line planting, the plants are cozy and comfortable in the garden. There is plenty of sun, there is enough space, and all the top dressing made is distributed evenly between them.

Of course, they can object to me that it is at this point that the size of the garden has little effect, since everything here depends on the so-called human factor. Can I overdo it with top dressing? Naturally! Nobody is immune from mistakes.But if this happens, then the plants, in order to avoid burning their roots, direct them towards the free border, and there they "wait" until the concentration of fertilizers in the soil is leveled out. And with a multi-line planting, this does not happen, so plantings not only get injured, but also accumulate nitrates in themselves.

Further. The beds are located from north to south, and this means that the whole day they are illuminated by the sun (and with the transverse arrangement of the fruits, this privilege goes only to the extreme plants). Another advantage: with such a planting of plants, much more is placed on each bed.

I will give an example: once, for planting cabbage, I occupied an area equal to two such beds with a wide border between them (45 × 2 + 80 = 170 cm), and planted 75 cabbage seedlings on it. On the narrow bed, there were as many as 100 pieces!

Moreover, due to the "checkerboard" arrangement, the plants in the process of growth turn towards the borderline, and each of them takes its place without interfering with the neighbors.

The advantages of the Mittlider technique can be further enumerated: it is convenient when processing, watering, feeding, weeding, and harvesting. And even children and the elderly can easily step over such a bed. Well, the length of the beds is at the request of everyone. Personally, I have them for 20 m (and this is also convenient). As for the width of the row spacings, it is better to make them up to 100 cm, so that it is convenient to drive in a wheelbarrow: pick up black soil or manure, take out garbage or the harvested crop. And in recent years, I even stopped cutting out the boundaries - I just mow the grass there with a lawn mower and then use it as mulch.

And the Mittlider method is especially necessary when growing tomatoes. Moreover, whatever the varieties, they still need to be tied up (even undersized ones). Last year I "neighbored" such among the corn. It turned out very well - each culture seems to grow by itself, but at the same time they help each other. Only corn should be sown with soaked seeds after the tomatoes are well rooted. By the way, I plant them in small ones immediately on the garden bed under the arches, which I fix with foil. I place it in one row with an interval of 25 cm. Between each pair of bushes I attach two or three grains of corn and, when it grows up, I tie these neighboring bushes to it. Instead of corn, you can sow sunflowers, but they are difficult to grow to harvest - the birds are ahead.

Well, you need your own approach to tall tomatoes. I also plant them in one row every 17-20 cm (you can also under the film), wait for them to grow up, give top dressing, spud them. On the same day, the husband hammers the supports into the garden bed, connects them on both sides with a strong wire, and already to it I tie the tomatoes: one bush to the left string, the second to the right (photo 2). And so on until the end of the row.

Therefore, the distance between the bushes does not need to be done much: there is enough space for the roots, and the crown stretches in different directions. Each bush is well lit by the sun and ventilated.

On such a bed, there are about 100 bushes. Few - you can break one more. Maintenance is much easier and easier. Well, and when the bushes stand up to their full height and stand, strewn with fruits, all that remains is to admire: the fruits are all clean and do not touch the ground. And you don't have to think every year where to get stakes for supports. And is it possible to keep such a mass of fruits on them (photo 3)? To save space, I also plant beets on the east side of the tomato garden.

Well, and since we are talking about tomatoes, I will express a few of my thoughts. I always carefully read all the articles and am surprised at the gardeners who feed the seedlings several times. These are still children, and we give them adult food! Yes, they will be beautiful, but when will we wait for the fruits from them? One clever man once told me this: "The first feeding is done not earlier than the fruits are set, otherwise everything will go to green ..." And also: "Mass ripening of fruits occurs faster and better not on oily, but on lean soil."

I am not calling anyone to anything, but maybe someone will listen to what has been said. Anyway, you can experiment with a small amount. This is everyone's business.

Method advantages

It is used on all surfaces - rocky, hilly, alkaline, clay, by creating a "special soil". Planting potatoes according to Meathlider is simple, there are many videos on the network that help the gardener learn how to use this method correctly.

  1. It is useful at different times of the year and in any climate.
  2. Doesn't take up much space.
  3. It is easy to care for and harvest crops with it.
  4. Easy to apply in the greenhouse and protect the crop from adverse weather conditions.
  5. Simply convert an existing site. This method results in 40 percent less water use compared to conventional landscaping. But the main advantage of the method is exceptional yields.

Further care of tomatoes

In fact, only the lower stepsons, which have a suitable length, are added in. As for the upper ones, they should still be removed, since there will be little sense from them.

Caring for tomatoes planted using Maslov's technology is no different from caring for tomatoes planted in the usual way. For them, watering, loosening the soil and feeding are also very important. As mentioned earlier, they need to be planted much less frequently than with a normal planting, as they can become severely overgrown.

If the tomatoes have already been planted, then replanting them is not a problem - this will only strengthen the bushes and make them more resistant to weather conditions. It follows from this that tomatoes are not afraid of frequent transplants. The main thing is to do it right and do not forget to water them abundantly. If you are not sure of this method, then you should at least try it by planting a few bushes in this "suspicious" way. If these bushes bring abundant harvests, then later you will no longer want to plant tomatoes using the traditional method.

Meatlider method: arrangement of beds

If you keep a vegetable garden for a real harvest, and not as entertainment, then narrow beds are the best option. Their width should not exceed 45 centimeters, the interval between them is 90 centimeters.

Thanks to this planting scheme, we will achieve the absence of weeds, timely ripening of fruits, and the absence of plant diseases. The necessary nutrients will be supplied to vegetables in a timely manner, and their root systems will be able to develop well.

  1. Narrow beds, according to the well-known Meatlider method, can be planned on any soil.
  2. The upper layer of soil with very strong erosion can be blown through by air currents.
  3. Calcium must be added to acidic soil (in the form of dolomite flour or chalk).
  4. Add gypsum to the alkaline soil.

Advice from experienced gardeners: do not plan beds on the slopes, in low-lying areas, in the shade, if you are going to do everything according to the Meatlider.

In the area of the beds, you need to carry out a good outflow of water. If your land is in a low-lying area, then you will have to raise your garden by 20 centimeters. To do this, you will need subsoil flooring and bulk soil. Now you need to remove the top layer of soil, lay out 20-30 cm sawdust and bark. It is necessary to maintain a strictly horizontal level.

It does not do in cultivation without fertilization. Here you need to take into account all the needs of the vegetable crop. In narrow beds, tomato root systems receive all the necessary nutrients.

It is necessary to completely abandon pesticides and nitrates.

Proper nutrition, regular watering, and the natural process of photosynthesis help vegetables to purify themselves. The fruits differ in their taste from the harvest harvested from an ordinary vegetable garden. After harvesting, you need to leave all waste between the beds.

The length of the beds can be any, according to the Meatlider method. As a rule, gardeners tend to have an average size of about 5 meters.

The marking of the beds after harvesting is carried out with the help of pegs. Thus, with the onset of the spring period, you can start planting much faster.

Growing tomatoes according to the method of IM Maslov, planting

What gardener does not dream of having a high yield of tomatoes on his land.

Hence, many tributaries ask a completely logical question: how to properly plant the seedlings so that the result is howling high.

Growing a tomato in a polycarbonate greenhouse video and other data are indicated in the article

Description

The development of a method for growing tomatoes was carried out by an engineer from the Moscow region I.M. Maslov in 1980. At that time, the given technique became widespread. She was constantly discussed, criticized or admired.

But over time, people stopped using it, because the method has lost such widespread publicity. But every gardener must know this technology. After all, thanks to it, you can get excellent results with a minimum of effort.

When growing tomatoes according to the Maslov method, it is necessary to lay the stem of the plant vertically in the groove. Only 2-3 leaves should be left above the ground. 75% of the culture remains underground. Over time, the root system will strengthen and shoots will appear.

It is necessary to lay seedlings in the direction from south to north. In other words, place the root system on the north side, and the leaves on the south. After planting, the tomatoes must be thoroughly watered. In addition, the process of moistening the crop should take place during the entire growing season.

You can learn how to grow large tomatoes in a greenhouse from this article.

On the video - growing tomatoes according to the Maslov method:

Many gardeners will not understand why this growing option should be used. Everything is very simple here. The upper part of the seedlings will begin to stretch out under the influence of sunlight. The stem will become even and take on its usual position.

A powerful root system will form, which will form a lush and large bush. Due to the good development of the culture on the bush, fruits can grow in large quantities.

When using Maslov's method, the yield increases several times.

You can see how tall tomatoes are grown in the open field in the video in this article.

Moreover, the yield will be the same on rainy days or during a drought. It is to this conclusion that the author of the idea himself came, as he had been observing tomatoes for many years.

Since they grow strongly during the formation of the bush, they will require a lot of space. To fulfill this condition, it is necessary to plant seedlings at a distance of 80-100 cm.

Only then will the tomatoes be able to receive the required amount of sunlight, and they will not have an excess of moisture in the soil.

The best varieties of cucumber seeds for greenhouses are listed in this article.

What is the timing of planting cucumbers in a polycarbonate greenhouse, you can find out from this article.

Picking

Another important condition for successful cultivation is plant picking. Maslov put forward his opinion on this matter, the office sometimes did not coincide with the opinion of many summer residents.

Many people who grow tomatoes are aware of the need for pinching. The shoots appear constantly, which sometimes greatly complicates the process of caring for the crop.

Based on the Maslov method, it is not necessary to remove the appendages.

In this case, you just need to wait a while until the stepsons grow up to a specific size. It should be such that it becomes possible to actually bury them in the ground to a depth of 10 cm. Only the lower stepsons should not be given and buried. The upper ones must be stopped.

Based on Maslov's method, tomato care is not very different from the traditional one. They should also be regularly watered, weeded, and loosened. Only it is necessary to plant them not close to each other.

If you have already landed the culture, adhering to the usual vertical method, then nothing terrible has happened.... Maslov claims that it is allowed to transplant already adult seedlings when they are at the fruiting stage. In addition, the author of the technique is sure that tomatoes are very fond of frequent transplants. Thus, it is possible to strengthen them.

Comparison with other methods

Today, tomatoes can be grown in various ways. Each gardener chooses the right one based on their personal preferences and experience. It is impossible to understand right away which one is right. Sometimes you have to constantly try something new in order to understand whether it suits you or not.

Meatlider method

It is advisable to use this technique when there is a small suburban area.

Compared to the Maslov method, this planting option can only be used in small greenhouses. In addition, the Meatlider method is a great opportunity to get a crop with unusable soil.

The plant is planted in special boxes using artificial soil.

Gala potatoes description of the variety, photo reviews, as well as other data of the potato variety are indicated in this article.

You can see how the Cherry potato variety looks like from this article.

What it looks like and how to make a box for storing potatoes on the balcony in winter is indicated here: //gidfermer.com/sadovodstvo/ovoshhevodstvo/temperatura-xraneniya-kartofelya-zimoj.html

Every gardener can say that tomatoes are capricious plants. For their normal growth, fertile soil, careful irrigation and lighting are needed. In damp weather conditions, the bushes will begin to ache and the harvest is lost. Based on the Meatlider method, hybrid tomatoes are planted that do not require such careful maintenance.

Planting of seedlings takes place in the month of May. Until that time, it is worth taking care of the arrangement of the greenhouse. If you want to get the harvest earlier, then you need to choose mid-season varieties, and plant them at the end of March.

Fertilizer is required in each furrow. During the formation of buds - 50 g of wood ash, during the formation of fruits - 25 g / m of magnesium sulfate.

In addition, during budding, it is necessary to process with the help of the Epin preparation. For 1 liter of water there are 10 drops of the drug. Carry out auxiliary treatment again after one week.

Also, care according to Mitayder presupposes the obligatory formation of the correct beds, which for Maslov does not play a special role.

The video shows planting a tomato in a greenhouse, the Meatlider method:

Dutch

In order to get a guaranteed result from growing, you need to know certain nuances of growing by the Dutch method.

Video - Dutch tomato growing method:

In addition, the considered method is very popular today for the reason that it is possible to obtain a high yield, and the culture itself is extremely rarely affected by the disease.

The planting process must take place in a greenhouse. All conditions must be created there for the normal cultivation of tomatoes. In addition, every gardener is obliged to equip the greenhouse in such a way that there is a temperature regulator. Before planting a tomato, the greenhouse should be thoroughly warmed up. To do this, it is heated for 2 days.

When the day of planting seedlings came, the air temperature in the greenhouse should be at least 16 degrees.To speed up heating, it is necessary to cover the room with a black film. In addition, such actions will protect you from weeds. The greenhouse must be thoroughly washed, the glass must be decontaminated.

Caring for the planted plants is simple, you also need to water, loosen and fertilize.

To say so unequivocally which growing method is better will not work. Each technique has its own specific minuses and pluses. Maslov's method is considered the most profitable and simplest. You do not need to carry out any preparatory measures, and the very essence of the method is quite simple. Follow all instructions carefully, and a good harvest will definitely visit your garden.
