    Insulate or not

    Insulation of the garage with foam

    If you made a decision to insulate the garage with foam, then there are 2 features of its attachment, depending on what kind of garage you have.     Garage wall cladding can be done both after insulation, and without it. You can sheathe a garage using three materials: wooden lining, plastic and chipboard.

    Immediately, we want to dissuade you from using chipboard, since this material is not resistant to moisture and will deteriorate very quickly. As for plastic and wooden lining, the latter would be the best option, but its disadvantage lies in the high price. Plastic is cheaper than wooden lining, but does not hold heat well and leads to a greenhouse effect in the garage. The issue can be solved very simply, if you have an extra few thousand rubles, then give preference to the lining, but if the budget for repairing the garage is limited, we use plastic, making ventilation in the garage.

    For fastening the finishing material, we use wooden slats. We fasten the lining to the slats with the help of small nails, or with nails without hats, and the plastic with the help of a construction stapler.
