Passionate

Passiflora flowers (Latin Passiflora), or passion flower, or "cavalier star" belong to the genus of the Passionflower family, which includes from four to five hundred species, growing mostly in the tropics of America (Brazil and Peru), Asia, Australia and Mediterranean. One type of passionflower grows in Madagascar. The name "passionflower" is derived from two Latin words: "passio" - suffering and "flos" - a flower, and the first missionaries who came to South America gave it to the plant, to whom the flower seemed to be a symbol of Christ's suffering.
